The Democratic Party is always trying to act like they know what is best for America.
The last time we listened to them, we ended up with the Affordable Care Act, which has been a complete disaster.
On June 29, the House of Representatives passed Kate’s Law, a bill that would impose harsh penalties on illegal immigrants that sneak back into the country after being deported.
Since the bill passed, Senate Democrats have threatened to kill the bill, saying that the majority of Americans don’t support it.
Well, a knew poll by Rasmussen has revealed that they are dead wrong.
In fact, 63 percent of Americans said they favor increased criminal penalties for repeat border-crossers.
Conservative Tribune reports:
A mere 26 percent of those polled said they opposed such a law, while 12 percent were undecided.
The bill currently making its way through Congress was named in honor of Kate Steinle, a 32-year-old who was killed in July 2015 by an illegal immigrant who had seven felony convictions and who had already been deported from the U.S. five times.
The incident happened in San Francisco — a “sanctuary city” that doesn’t think it’s necessary to notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement before releasing detained undocumented immigrants.
Make sure you let the Democrats know that you support Kate’s Law. It is time to put an end to illegal immigration.
