Drivers in Long Beach, California, were shocked on Monday when an intoxicated woman who was blocking an intersection rushed a police officer that was responding to the call.
In the 3-minute long video that was posted on Facebook, the woman can be seen cursing at the cop and throwing objects at him.
Later in the scuffle, she even reached for his baton, accused him of being racist, and threw a punch at him.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Though he missed on several occasions, his baton finally struck her right on her knee, momentarily distracting the insane woman and giving him the perfect opportunity to rush in and get her to hold still.
But she continued fighting, wailing her arms about like a maniac. It took the help of an unidentified good Samaritan who ran out into the middle of the street to help the cop to finally place her in handcuffs.
Yet even after other cops arrived and began working in tandem with the original officer to get the woman to his patrol car, she still resisted.
See the video below:
The woman was later identified as 22-year-old Carmen Mata.
She later pleaded not guilty to “one felony count of resisting an executive officer and three misdemeanor counts of resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer,” according to the Long Beach Post.
If convicted, she is facing up to six years in county jail.
This woman deserves to have the book thrown at her. Share this story on social media.
