An anti-Donald Trump feminist with known self-esteem issues recently burst into tears last week after a new study revealed that the majority of men prefer young, thin women.
The study was published in the PeerJ journal in 2015 and involved white, black and Asian men.
This wasn’t fair for super-feminist Rosemary Donahue.
“The participants were all shown 21 sample images of women with varying BMIs (body mass indexes) and asked to rate the attractiveness of their bodies,” she prefaced before claiming this strategy was “bad and demeaning.”
“BMI has been debunked as an indicator for health, and the procedure they chose to use reinforces a toxic paradigm we see so often today — rating women based on their attractiveness and nothing else, in a system where aesthetic is the only measure of worth.”
Conservative Tribune reports:
Instead of writing ridiculous rants for Allure — the name of the magazine is deliciously ironic — or issuing potty-mouth tweets about President Donald Trump (they’re easy enough to find, we’re not linking to them here), perhaps she should spend her time speaking with a therapist about her issues with narcissism.
Regardless, what provoked her rant was the fashion blog Red Online daring to report the study in a post published last week — an act that she apparently found “triggering.”
“Writing about these findings as though they’re the true window into what men really want is dangerous, especially given that these specific findings literally tell us we’ll be more desirable if we’re underweight or close to it (and if we somehow get younger),” she complained.
Donahue called on all women to stop talking about the sexual preferences of men when it comes to science and urged them to “keep pushing for more diversity and representation.”
