A shocking video recently showcased a famous surfer nearly becoming a shark’s lunch at South Africa’s famed Jeffrey’s Bay.
In the video, Mick Fanning was pulled out of the water on Wednesday after it was revealed that a three-meter shark was spotted near him.
A similar incident took place in 2015 when a massive shark was spotted near Fanning.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Tribunist reports that he punched the shark in the face to make his escape.
Somehow, he was unharmed.
Although this week’s encounter was far less severe, two close calls with dangerous shark would be sufficient to keep just about anyone from getting back in the water — but not Fanning.
“I really feel at home here and so comfortable and relaxed,” Fanning said during an interview with the Daily Telegraph.
“The people are so nice and the wave is amazing… this is a place that I really look forward to each year.”
