A violent fugitive from Australia that killed two women was finally caught after police found him hiding in a zoo.
According to reports, Malcolm Naden evaded police for seven years, from 2005 until 2012.
Naden allegedly slept in the roof cavity of the manager’s hut and kept a pile of feed bags for bedding behind the rhinoceros enclosure.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Food he stole included bananas from elephants, out-of-date food from behind the zoo’s restaurant, and food items from at least one worker’s home.
Naden lived off of pretty much whatever he could find, and folks noticed — a hot coin-fed barbecue at 5 a.m. means someone is there that doesn’t need to be.
One day, a worker observed Naden fleeing a tortoise enclosure at the zoo, according to The Sun.
When zoo staff reached the site, they discovered that the man had ripped a tortoise’s head off and sucked its guts out.
Disgusting. Was Naden even a human at that point?
It didn’t take long for law enforcement officials to find him after disturbing reports like that surfaced.
