You would never expect something like this from a former pageant winner, but Mrs. Orange County 2014 has been found guilty for something almost too horrible to say out loud.
Meghan Breanna Alt, 27 year old resident of Irvine, was discovered to be in possession of child pornography and lewd acts that include a minor under the age of 14. She was put under surveillance after being arrested at a traffic stop.
After the discovery, she was immediately sentenced to 300 days in jail. The kicker is, she not only possessed this pornography, but she participated and created some of it!
She will also be participating in a child abuser’s treatment program as well as a mandatory 15 days of community service. This comes with a whopping three years of probation after her release.
There was a plea deal in which two felony counts of lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14 were dismissed.
Alt sent sexually explicit images to a Marine, that included a 4-year old female relative, in exchange for cash and gifts. She was also under suspicion of advertising prostitution services online where she would have sex with clients while her children watched. Someone like her should not be allowed to have children.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service alerted federal and county law enforcement involved in the multi-agency Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force about the child pornography, leading investigators to Alt, sheriff’s officials said. Alt was accused of sending sexually explicit images of a 4-year-old female relative to a Marine in exchange for cash and gifts, sheriff’s officials said when she was arrested. Alt was also suspected of advertising unspecified services online that sometimes led to her having sex with clients in exchange for money with her children present, sheriff’s officials alleged when she was arrested. Alt won the Mrs. Orange County pageant in 2014 and competed in the Mrs. California contest in June of that year. Deputy District Attorney Michael Carroll, the prosecutor on the case, did not immediately respond to a message.
