36-year old Uber driver, Angel Sanchez is not very good at his job. He is now being accused by prosecutors of sexually assaulting a female passenger.
She was getting a ride home from an event in Newport Beach, California, which is an upscale city. The victim was at a company gathering and it was her work colleagues that got her the Uber to take her home.
Sanchez has officially been charged with rape on Wednesday.
He has been scheduled for his initial court appearance for sometime next week. He is looking at an eight year prison sentence for his crime and has been banned from ever driving for Uber again.
The actual attack took place near the woman’s home. Sanchez had the audacity to complete his route before assaulting her. She has not been identified by the authorities, as she has suffered enough.
The victim ran from Sanchez’ vehicle and called 911 immediately after the attack.
