Tragedy struck in Brooklyn, New York when Ivelisse Alvarado-Genao, aged 30, was found by police late Friday night.
Her body was discovered after a call by a neighbor who said a person was shot in front of 36st and Coney Island.
Police are now looking for her husband after she was found unconscious with a gunshot wound in her head.
EMS arrived only to pronounce her dead at the scene.
Gabino Genao, aged 30, was her husband’s name and he is wanted in relation to her killing, according to a report by the police.
Geno is approximately feet tall and weighs about 200lbs. This is not his first brush with the law as he has been arrested previously in November 2016 for criminal contempt.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot in front of 2714 W. 36th St. in Coney Island around 11:15 p.m., police said. When they arrived, cops found an unconscious 30-year-old woman, later identified as Ivelisse Alvarado-Genao, with gunshot wound to her head. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene. Gabino Genao, 30, the victim’s husband, is wanted in her killing, police said. He’s described to be about 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. Genao was previously arrested in Nov. 2016 for criminal contempt, police said.
