Tiger Woods, legendary golfer, spent four hours in a Palm Beach County Jail after being arrested early on Monday morning after being pulled over under suspicion of a DUI.
This was a bad way to end an otherwise great Memorial Weekend. Lucky for him, what should have been an open and shut case for the police was not at all what it actually seemed to be.
Woods, a 14-time major champion, is now claiming that a bad reaction to prescription medication led to his arrest. He went on to say that alcohol was not involved in his arrest.
Woods did not realize that the medications he had taken would mix and affect him as strongly as they did. He is aware of the severity of what he did and he takes full respondsibility.
This medication may be related to his back injuries. He has had his fourth back surgery on April 20th for fusion surgery.
Woods had the surgery on April 20th and then wrote on his website that he had almost instant relief from his pain. He went on to say that he had not felt this good in years.
