An attack by a sexual predator on an 11-year old boy has police on the lookout inside a Bronx Park.
The attack occurred on Tuesday, with the victim stepping away from a group of friends at approximately 3:45pm so that he could pick up his brother from P.S. 41, a nearby school.
While he was walking down the street from where his friends were standing, a man put him into a headlock and told the boy, “follow me I have a knife.” He asked the boy for money before carrying him away.
The boy was then dragged under a tree, which would be out of the line of vision for most people. That is when he punched the child and searched him.
The man then forced the boy to lie on the ground. He pulled out his penis and attempted to rape the boy, but the child fought off his attacker, pushing him into a tree. The victim then ran off and asked a woman he saw to call the police for him.
There is video footage that has been obtained by the police of the man and the child walking together, but they have not been able to identify the man from the footage. The attacker is being described as between the ages of 17 to 19.
The boy was walking west from Magenta Street to White Plains Road when a man put arms around the boy’s neck in a headlock, police said. The man then asked him for money and told him “follow me I have a knife,” sources said. The victim followed the man to Barker Street, entering a park on Bronx Blvd. The man pulled the victim under a tree out of plain view, punched the child, searched his bag and made him lie face down on the ground, police said. The man then allegedly pulled out his penis and attempted to rape the boy. But the child fought off the man, pushing him into a tree, hitting his head.
Investigators describe the man to be between 17 to 19 years old and was seen wearing a blue hoodie, as well as blue and white Jordan sneakers.
