President Donald Trump told FOX NEWS that he does not go to his home in New York City more often because he causes too much disruption when he visits.
The President explained that his trip to Mar-a-Lago cause fewer disruptions than his trip to the Big Apple and there is plenty of open land around him.
The NYPD estimates that it costs more than $300,000 a day to provide protection when the President is in New York City.
The President told Fox News that he “feels guilty” when he returns to NYC as he realizes that his visits disrupt the city and he hates “to see the New Yorkers with streets closed.”
At Mar-a-Lago Trump is surrounded by hundreds of acres of open land and most of the area around him is not disrupted during his visit.
However, the President is planning a brief trip to NYC in the upcoming week.
