Union Local 33, which represents graduate student teachers at Yale University, is on an eight-day hunger strike.
In response, Yale College Republicans staged a tasty BBQ next to the striking graduate students who seemed to draw more interest and support that the hungry strikers.

The New Haven Register reported that the Republican group served up a meal of barbecued beef, baked beans, and corn to its members and others on the Yale campus.
The striking students have gone three days without food and claimed their fasting would continue “indefinitely” until the university relents and gives in to the graduate student’s demands.
The striking students claim they want issues about secure pay, equal pay, access to healthcare, access to childcare for parents and for our families resolved before they will give up their hunger strike.
The student Republicans avoided comment on their motives, but it seemed clear they feel that the striking students are foolish in the demands.
