A week ago, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was ready to hang Kathy Griffin out to dry.
For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.

However, this weekend he was all love and good wishes for Ms. Griffin during an appearance in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to The Daily Mail Griffin felt betrayed by Anderson, whom she has worked with for the past ten years.
However, during the show in Phoenix, Anderson said in response to a question about Griffin, “She and I have been friends for a long time, and I want nothing but good things for her.”
Some of Griffin’s few remaining fans felt Anderson was throwing her under the bus, but Anderson said he wanted to distance himself from the controversy surrounding Griffin’s photo of her holding the severed head of President Donald Trump.
People were assuming I was somehow responsible for this and I just felt I should point out that I actually think this is pretty important as somebody who works overseas and, you know,
I had nothing to do with it, but I certainly understand why they made that decision. And look, I wish her well, and I hope she bounces back and keeps doing what she does best, which is make people laugh.’
