It was pretty clear from the outset of FBI Director James Comey’s announcement that the bureau had reopened their investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal that there had to be something in it for her.
With Comey’s letter on Sunday that his findings remained the same as they were in July, it was obvious that the whole fiasco was likely an attempt to paint Clinton as innocent and victimized by the mean Republicans for anyone dumb enough to buy that narrative (and sadly, there are many).
Rep. Jason Chaffetz made it clear that this second slap in the face was nowhere near enough to make Clinton appear to be “clean,” as if there’s anything that could.

Chaffetz told Fox News’ Brett Baier:
No matter who wins or loses this election come Tuesday, Congress is still going to look into it. If she thinks she’s clean, then tell everybody around her to go ahead and stop pleading the fifth, come to Congress and tell us the truth because the closest people to Hillary Clinton; they keep pleading the fifth.
Maybe it’s time they stop doing that and actually tell the truth to the American people. They haven’t done that yet.
Five individuals connected to Clinton’s clearly criminal email fiasco received immunity, yet there has been no grand jury impaneled and no indictment. It doesn’t matter if Comey “cleared” Clinton in record time (650,000 culled through in just days?), as Chaffetz noted, there’s still a great deal that hasn’t been explained.
If Clinton was squeaky clean, there would be no need for the smoke and mirrors. But as we know, Clinton is nothing but corrupt, criminal and downright evil.
