A female math teacher at Rocky Mount Preparatory School has been arrested and charged with three counts of having sex with a student and one count of indecent liberties with a minor.
Authorities interviewed students and faculty before they obtained a search warrant, and arrested the teacher.
Erin McAuliffe was fired on May 4, just a day before police were told of the alleged crimes.
According to reports, two of the alleged victims are 17-years-old and the third is 16.
Students and parents are shocked by the allegations.
“I was really surprised,” Felicia Russel, the parent of a Rocky Mount student, said. “I thought that women teachers were getting smarter and better.”
“It’s very shocking and appalling that a person would do that with a student,” a Rocky Mount graduate said.
McAuliffe is being held on $20,000 bond in the Carteret County jail.
Some guys, on the other hand, think that the teacher shouldn’t be in trouble for having sex with her students.

But, not everybody was behind McAuliffe:
And then all these people talking about sexual assault like this is okay for boys. It's wrong, she is a predator who belongs in jail

It is a crime, and she should be treated like any other criminal!
