Virginia police responded to a Rockbridge County trailer home where they discovered a 3-year-old feral girl. But that wasn’t the end to the horror that waited inside the trailer. Prosecutors are calling it one of the most disturbing cases they have ever been involved with.
In September of 2015 a neighbor called the police due to the strange goings-on in the trailer. The deputy reported that upon approaching the residence, he was struck by the stench of urine and observed insects swarming all over the trailer.
When the deputy crossed the threshold and stepped inside the living space, not only did he see what appeared to be thousands of cockroaches and other bugs on the walls and the ceilings, but also on the floor and all the furniture.
The deputy saw a 3-year-old girl who was crying while seated at the kitchen counter. She also had insects crawling all over her.
Authorities soon made a second horrifying discovery inside the filthy trailer: another little girl, 8-years-old, the sister of the toddler. This brave little girl would later recount the disturbing details of sexual abuse both girls suffered at the hands of Robert Eugene Clark and his half-sister Samantha Kay Simmons.
Clark, 39, and Simmons, 30, were handed combined sentences of more than 100 years on Wednesday for their disgusting crimes.
