A small town in Indonesia got high when West Jakarta Police officers burned 3.3 tons of pot. According to reports, the police protected themselves from the fumes by wearing gas masks but forgot to warn the townspeople of the potential danger.
As a result, some residents from a nearby town complained of headaches, dizziness, and feeling high.
Not only was marijuana burned in the fire, but police also destroyed crystal meth and ecstasy tablets that had been confiscated in drug raids.
The destruction of the illicit drugs was witnessed by several townsfolk and government officials.
One reporter who witnessed the destruction of the pot, said that he had to sit down and drink a cup of tea to help get over the effects of the marijuana.
Indonesia has some of the strictest marijuana laws in the world. Getting caught with a single joint can put you in prison for four years.
If a pot user turns himself in or his family reports him, however, charges may be dropped.
No matter how you look at it, pot is illegal in Indonesia!
