The universe doesn't joke around. The officer who saved bigoted, homophobic Rep. Steve Scalise during baseball practice was a black lesbian.

George Takei posted these ridiculous comments on Twitter today:
“The universe doesn’t joke around. The officer who saved bigoted, homophobic Rep. Steve Scalise during baseball practice was a black lesbian”
and many people were clearly upset with his words.
George Takei is a fairly clever man so why would he take the time to post such an ignorant statement such as this? Why post such a statement to drive people further apart?
George, let's do more to bring people together, instead of looking for opportunities to drive people apart.

Rather than label her as a black lesbian – wouldn’t it have been nicer to call her by name? The “black lesbian” police woman that Takei was referring to was one of two who came to Scalise’s aid. Her name was Crystal Griner.
I bet you don't even know her name, do you? "Black Lesbian" is all you care about.

Young Conservatives reports:
George Takei played his usual hand and acted like a total jerk on Twitter after the Virginia shooting on Wednesday, commenting that the officer who saved “bigoted, homophobic” Majority Whip Steve Scalise is a “black lesbian.”
There is honestly no place in the conversation for ignorant statements like that.
And in a rare show of opposition against Takei’s poorly-timed snark, Twitter went nuts.
