Barack Obama made a terrible deal with Iran to try to encourage them to abandon plans to become a nuclear power. It cost the United States billions of dollars and did not accomplish its aim!
Obama told Congress that he freed some Iranians who were “innocent civilians” and that the money being given to Iran totaled “$400 million”. He also declared that the money wasn’t part of a payment to free Americans being held in Tehran. These lies would have been grounds for impeachment under Article 1, Section 3, Clause 7 of the Constitution, if he was still President.
But, he isn’t!
Reports say that at the end of April, Iranian officials announced that their defense budget had increased by 145% under President Hassan Rouhani.
How much of that money came from President Obama?
According to a report in The Beacon, “Leading members of Congress and U.S. officials working on the Iran portfolio suspect that at least a portion of the Obama administration’s $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran has been used to fund and support terrorists in the Middle East.”
Congressman Sean Duffy (R-WI), angrily stated: “President Obama flat-out caved in to Iran when he handed them the disastrous nuclear deal and $1.7 billion in cash payments that could assist Iran’s military. So it’s no surprise that the world’s lead sponsor of terrorism would feel emboldened to become more aggressive in the region and flex its military muscle.”
The crazy Iran nuclear deal is one of the reasons Trump ran for office. He recognized it as a bad deal that would place a burden on the American taxpayer and help to further destabilize the region.
President Trump has made it clear that he’s no “Obama”.
Patriot Journal reports:
More details of Obama’s Iran Deal were made public this week, and let’s just say, Americans are pissed off.
Not only did the traitorous Obama allow 18 Iranian terrorists to walk free, he also supplied the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism with billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars.
Originally Obama had told Congress that the Iranians being freed were “innocent civilians” and the money being given to Iran totaled “$400 million”. These lies would have been grounds for impeachment under Article 1, Section 3, Clause 7 of the Constitution.
