In a recent visit to North Korea, Dennis Rodman, former basketball star presented a selection of gifts to Kim Jong Un. In what is his fifth visit to North Korea, Rodman gave a copy of Donald Trump’s book, “The Art of the Deal.”
While he did not specifically get to see the North Korean leader in person, he was able to present his gifts which also included autographed jerseys, soap sets, a mermaid jigsaw puzzle and a copy of “Where’s Waldo.”
Donald Trump and Dennis Rodman are connected via Celebrity Apprentice. And as Kim Jong Uni has hosted Rodman in North Korea many times, Rodman, it seems, is the tenuous connection between the two.
Rodman has referred to Kim as a “friend for life” in the past. Perhaps he is following the age-old saying, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
The State Department has denied that Rodman’s trip is politically focused.
Yes I’m Right reports:
The United States has what would optimistically be known as a tenuous relationship with North Korea at this point. They keep testing missiles and we keep moving in the Navy to shoot them down, should their dictator get any bad ideas. This bad relationship is rooted in a complete disregard for international demands that they dismantle their nuclear program and their dictator’s disregard for what most would consider the basic rights of his people.
