It was supposed to be a sure thing. The Democratic Party’s wunderkind, Jon Ossoff, was going to unleash liberal lunacy in the Georgia run-off election. Democrat leadership called it a referendum against Donald Trump. Liberal moonbats from Atlanta to Hollywood were sure Ossoff would win. So sure, in fact, that they dumped millions of dollars into the campaign.
After all the votes were counted, Republican Karen Handel was victorious. It wasn’t even close! Ossoff lost by six percentage points.
Just look at Rachel Maddow’s even longer face:
You’d never know that CNN had a slight liberal bias:

Prior to the votes being counted, Ossoff commented that he didn’t expect a congratulatory Tweet from the President. And that’s good because he didn’t get one!

And the excuses were less than creative:

But Rachel Maddow pointed out that liberals didn’t come out to vote because it was raining.
It’s a good thing that Republicans own umbrellas!
Biz Pac Review reports:
It was supposed to be a sure thing.
Liberals spent oodles of millions to support a young, urbane candidate who ran against a frumpy-looking middle-aged Republican in a Congressional district President Trump barely carried in November.
It was gonna be a big night, and Democrats were getting ready to pop champagne corks in celebration. But something happened on the way to the victory speech.
