Omar Khadr, a former Guantanamo Bay prisoner, who killed a U.S. soldier will now receive millions of dollars and an apology from the Canadian government, because he claims he was mistreated.
His crime – he murdered Christopher Speer when he was 15 by tossing a grenade during a firefight at an al-Qaeda compound. He plead guilty to the murder and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. In 2012, he was transferred to Canada where he claims he was interrogated under oppressive circumstances.
It turns out the the court agreed with him and decided to reward him for killing Speer in the sum of $8 million.
He doesn’t deny he killed Speer – he just believes he was treated unfairly.
The death of Speer was unfair. His children having to grow up without a father is unfair. A prisoner and an al Qaeda terrorist imprisoned and questioned for a crime he committed is called justice.
Oh Canada! What have you done?
Young Conservatives reports:
Either you’re with civilization or you’re with the terrorists, Rudy Giuliani famously said after the 9/11 attack.
What Canada has just decided to do is unbelievable.
And it’s not placing them on the side of civilization.
