Justine Damond, who came from Australia to live in America with her son and American fiance, was shot and killed by Police Officer Mohamed Noor, a Somali-American Muslim.
Damond had called 911 to report a suspicious noise. When police arrived on the scene, Damond, dressed in her pajamas, walked up to the squad car to talk to police. While talking to the driver of the squad car, Noor, who had been sitting in the passenger seat, drew his weapon and shot Damond.
In his defense, Noor claimed he was ‘spooked‘ by the unarmed white woman in her pajamas who was talking to his partner.
Certainly, he never learned to shoot first and ask questions later while he trained for the police force in America!
It turns out that Noor has three separate complains against him. One incident that he is under investigation for is false imprisonment and assault and battery against another woman.
While responding to a 911 call about a thug smoking marijuana on private property, Officer Noor snatched the phone out of the complainant’s hand, grabbed her right wrist and upper arm to immobilize her. Noor then FORCIBLY ushered her to the hospital, claiming that she was mentally ill. The woman was discharged two hours later after she had been seen by a doctor.
A lawsuit is pending.
Concerned Americans want to know why Noor was allowed to remain in a squad car with a loaded weapon given his recent history of violence against women.
It may very well turn out that Justine Damond’s life could have been saved, but wasn’t, over fears of being labelled “Islamophobic”.
