Bringing a murderer to justice and holding him accountable for his crime is among the first steps for the loved ones of murder victims in dealing with their loss.
According to Chanel Lewis, the 20-year-0ld who was accused of murdering Karina Vetrano, 30, he was frustrated over loud noises that he had to deal with earlier in the day.
Lewis claims that when he saw Vetrano running towards him, he simply ‘lost it‘. Lewis beat her to ‘let his emotions out’.
‘She didn’t do anything. I was just mad at that time. I beat her to let my emotions out. I never really meant to hurt her, it just happened.’
Lewis testified that he beat Vetrano for a good five minutes before choking the life out of her.
Vetrano happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!
Of course, Lewis’ mother called the charges ‘bogus‘ and declared her son innocent.
Clash Daily reports:
New York state has abolished and re-established the death penalty numerous times. Too bad it’s not in effect now.
This is heartbreaking. This tragedy truly was senseless.
Bringing the murderer to justice is generally the first steps for families to move forward with their lives.
In this case, this seemed to be a senseless crime that ended up with a lovely young woman brutally murdered for no apparent reason.
