Our nation was built on immigration. People came here to escape religious persecution, starvation and war. Immigrants came to America to provide a better life for their families.
Immigration policies under the Obama Administration were not very strict. In fact, Democrats fight President Trump tooth and nail to keep illegals in the country. Sanctuary cities protect illegals by refusing to help support federal immigration policies.
President Trump isn’t anti-immigration as some liberals would like us to believe. The President just likes his immigrants to be legal!
According to the Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System at wrapsnet.org, we took in 49,255 refugees from 75 countries between October 2016 and June 2017. Surprisingly, most of our refugees come from just 10 countries.
Incidentally, Iran, Syria and Somalia are on President Trump’s temporary ban list. Of the remaining three countries, only Sudan had significant refugees during this same period with 886, while Yemen had only 21 and Libya only 3.
Bet you didn’t know the Democratic Republic of Congo was our number 1 source of refugees.
Allen B. West reports:
As we know, immigrants form the fabric of our nation. Unless you are an indigenous Native American reading this, your “people” came from somewhere else originally, whether unfortunately forcibly, or more positively, seeking opportunity and a better life somewhere on our fruited plains.
The subject of refugees and immigration continues to be a hot button in our nation as we try to control the influx of criminal illegal aliens and radical jihadists who would seek to do our nation harm.
