White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer submitted his resignation on Friday morning. Spicer’s resignation came just hours before President Trump announced his appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as the White House Communications Director.
Rumor had it that Spicer would be tapped for the job.
Spicer will stay in the role of Press Secretary until August. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has been filling in for Spicer in the daily press briefings, has actually held more conferences than Spicer has in the last two weeks.
Here’s what the President said about Sean Spicer:
“Sean Spicer is a wonderful person who took tremendous abuse from the Fake News Media – but his future is bright!”
The White House daily briefings won’t be as spicy without him around!
Angry Patriot reports:
Sean Spicer announced his intention to resign as White House Press Secretary as his role in the Trump Administration has been diminishing in recent months.
The resignation was officially submitted hours before a White House meeting where Anthony Scaramucci was appointed the White House Communications Director – Sean Spicer’s boss.
