Now that Nancy Pelosi is out of power, she’s actually kind of funny. That’s not her intention, I’m sure. But I’ve started imagining a sitcom-style laugh track whenever I hear her speak. I makes her cackle easier to understand that way.
Remember how the Democrats decided to postpone the vote for the House Minority Leader, which is the position that Pelosi has held since the Democrats lost the House in 2010? The assumption was that Pelosi would continue to be the House Minority Leader – no one has really opposed her bid for it. So, why would the Democrats do that? I mean, the Senate Dems already elected Chuck Schumer for their minority leader, since Harry Reid is on his way out the door (PRAISE BE!)
But what’s up with House Dems?
We have no clue. But Princess Pelosi isn’t giving up. And, according to this, she INSISTS that the Democrats are in for some rough times when President Donald Trump takes office, so they need to have someone in charge who knows what they’re doing. Still doesn’t explain why Pelosi wants to be in charge, though –
“We’ve been through hell,” Pelosi told lawmakers, according to a Democratic aide who was in the room but spoke on condition of anonymity. “And it’s only going to get worse as he (Trump) makes his appointments and we have this fight. But we have to see it as an opportunity.”
Hm… the Democrats have been through hell, huh?
Remind me again who’s been in charge for the past eight years? And remind me which knuckle-headed House Leader shoved the Affordable Care Act – which turned out to be anything BUT affordable – through the legislature? And remind me which mental giant told the great unwashed masses of the American peasantry that they had to “pass the bill to find out what’s in it”?
OH RIGHT – that was none other than Rep. Nancy Pelosi! Our liberal elitist better from San Francisco! She’s a huge reason why people are now getting notices from their insurance providers and discovering that their health care premiums are more than their monthly mortgage payments!
So, who put who through hell, Pelosi?
Sorry, Nancy. I’m all out of sympathy for you and your fellow Democrats. Between you, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama (and Hillary Clinton), you all abused your power, forced your will onto the American people, insisted that we were too dumb to understand what you were doing, and you were voted out of power because of it. You’ve been relegated to a humorous political sideshow, which is precisely where you belong.
