Although he pegs himself as anti-immigrants, Trump does seem to have a soft spot in his heart for at least two immigrants: Melania Trump, and according to the action hero star, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The ex-governor of ‘Ca-li-for-ni-a’ commented on all the never-ending attention he’s been getting from the original Celebrity Apprentice game show host turned US president.
Tuesday morning, Schwarzenegger appeared on The Michael Smerconish Program. Michael Smerconish, the show’s host, asked the Predator star why he things President Trump won’t stop tweeting about him.
The Running Man star answered the SiriusXM program talk show host flat-out and bluntly about the subject:
“I think he’s in love with me.”
NY Daily News continues:
“Is that what it is?” Smerconish asks.
“Yeah, I think so,” Schwarzenegger confirms.
The former California governor gave up his job hosting “Celebrity Apprentice” Friday, stating, “I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett… I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.”
Within hours of leveling an unfounded, unverified claim that “President Obama was tapping my phones in October” despite the commander-in-chief having no such authority, Trump responded to Schwarzenegger’s announcement by taking the time to tweet: “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show.”
The two have sparred considerably since NBC fired Trump from “Celebrity Apprentice,” with Schwarzenegger recently offering to “switch jobs” with the unpopular president and even discussing a moment when he wanted to go to New York, find the network-ousted orange orator and “smash his face into the table.”
