Barbara Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush, was spotted this Saturday in Paris, France, attending a fundraiser for Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton hosted by her scandal-ridden aideHuma Abedin and British journalist Anna Wintour.
Several photos were snapped of her at the event. Two of them showed her alongside Abedin, as originally reported by CNN.
Shared on Instagram by Lauren Santo Domingo, a contributing editor at Vogue and the co-founder of online fashion retailer Moda Operandi, one of the photos had this as its caption: “Hillblazing at home in paris #imwithher.”
Take a look:
The other photo was shared by socialite Derek Blasberg and looked even chummier than the first.
It may be viewed below:
It is likely safe to assume that Barbara Bush will be following the lead of her grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, who last month told former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend that he intended to vote for Clinton.
Barbara’s mother, former first lady Laura Bush, has also hinted that she might vote for Clinton.
“I want our next president — whoever he or she might be — to be somebody who is interested in women in Afghanistan and who will continue U.S. policies … that we continue to do what we’re committed to do as a country,” she reportedly said.
Choosing to sit out the election over concerns about GOP candidate Donald Trump’s temperament is one thing. Throwing the election by voting for the corrupt Democrat candidate is another altogether.
It is at its core a sellout move, as well as an ostensible declaration of resignation from the Republican Party.
If the Bush family does indeed wind up voting for Clinton, they might as well begin openly championing for more failed foreign policy endeavors, Islamic terrorism, illegal immigration and wasteful spending, among other things.
And the reason is simple: Because that is exactly what they would be signing up for by aligning themselves with Clinton.
